Ms. Angela: Internationally Minded

This interview was written by Mika T.

One of her greatest memories is when she visited her grandmother’s house in summer. Another memory is when she went to North Carolina in the United States with her brother. And then went to a farm to pick pears, apples and other things, riding their bikes and playing on the farm.

The saddest moment of her life was about 10 years ago when her father died in a car accident. It was sudden and very sad. But she has all her memories of how much her father loved her and taught her a lot of things. She keeps his memories in her heart!

Something that changed her life was moving to a foreign country. She was born and raised in the United States. About 6 years ago, she went to Qatar to live by herself. It changed her life dramatically. She learned a lot of lessons. For example, they introduced her to a lot of kinds of people so that she now knows how to meet different kinds of people. She learned about the Muslim culture and their values. It is similar to coming to Japan and learning about a new language and culture. She is finding that people all over the world are caring and understanding.
