Introducing… Ms. Sassa!

Hey OYIS—have you met our new Grade 4 teacher yet? Even if you have, you might learn something new if you read the interview that Grade 4 OYISTER Staff Reporter Tsubame wrote!

Tsubame: What is your favorite thing about this school?

Ms. Sassa: I love the people I work with, and the students are vibrant and fun.

What is your favorite thing about Japan?

There are so many things to look at! Also, I like convenience stores.

What is your favorite food?

Any thing with rice. (Rice is LIFE!!!!!)

What is your favorite book?

My favorite book is Rumple Butter Cup, because it encourages to be yourself, and it’s a heart warming story. (Learn more about Ms. Sassa’s favorite book here!)

What is your favorite thing  about the Grade 4 students?

They are funny and hard working.

What is the reason you came to OYIS?

I always wanted to live in Japan, and OYIS gave me an opportunity to work here.

What subject do you like the best?

I like UOI, because there are so many things to inquire about.

What is your favorite subject to teach?

Also UOI, because everyone can get creative with it!

Is teaching fun?

Yes, teaching is fun! I get to work with many people and unique students.

What is the thing you think is fun about OYIS?

The people working are fun and the students are also fun. I LOVE THE COMMUNITY!!
