The Clock for Joy is Ticking

Silence dwelled the globe as

gifts of shimmering snow swayed

like drifting in a dream. The gears to

scattering joy had just begun clicking

on the clock of forever.

It is though the music orchestrating in

the background that brought the fire in

the fireplace to life, as had the spirits

of the birth of Christ arose.

Human notes of music played only faint

memories in the lips of the elves

tucked deep in the North pole.

It stayed as a flicker of light, reminding

the veiled meaning of the yearly missions

to spread gifts wrapped in gleaming papers

of cherry red and deep green to kids

all over the universe of Earth.

—Christmas is a time for happiness to be spread :))
