Pink Shirt Day
Introduction
This day started because of a boy who wore a pink shirt to his new school.
And got bullied by older grades and was humiliated, but two more boys were watching.
So on Pink Shirt Day, there are fun activities and it's like a no-bullying day…don’t bully people.
History of Pink Shirt Day
The history of Pink Shirt Day is that a new student had a pink shirt and two children bullied that kid. two kids were watching that and wanted to help that kid, so the two kids went to a clothes store and bought a lot of pink shirts and gave them to the people who wanted to help them and join them with their idea.
On the next day, so many people were wearing pink shirts but the new student was not wearing a pink shirt because he thought that he would get bullied again so they gave one to them and they had almost 1800
or more pink shirts in the whole school.
Also, day pink Shirt Day started in Canada in 2007.
Pink Shirt Day is not only about pink. It is about being a good friend and being kind to each other. In OYIS, this year people have sent cards to each other. They wrote nice words and sentences to each other.
